Arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, where you will be transferred to the ship.
Day 2 – Vernon (Giverny), Les Andelys
FEATURED EXCURSIONS: Monet’s Giverny and hike to Château Gaillard
Visit Monet’s former home and famous gardens, the inspiration for many of his most beloved works. Later, hike up to Château Gaillard to see the ruins of Richard the Lionheart’s 12th-century stronghold and take in the remarkable views. In the evening, enjoy a Captain’s Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner.
Note: Giverny will be closed during the March 13 and 20 cruise departure dates. Instead of Giverny, guests will visit the gardens of Versailles.
Day 3 – Rouen (Normandy Beaches)
FEATURED EXCURSIONS: Full-day Normandy Beaches with choice of Arromanches 360° Cinema or Juno Beach and Canadian Centre or Tapestry Museum in Bayeux
Visit historic Omaha Beach and choose from several options: a circular cinema that brings D-Day to life; Juno Beach and the Canadian Centre; or travel to Bayeux to view its famous 11th-century tapestry. At the American Cemetery and memorial honoring U.S. soldiers, you may also join a special remembrance ceremony.
Day 4 – Rouen
FEATURED EXCURSIONS:Rouen walking discovery tour
During your time in historic Rouen, you’ll see the city's medieval quarter, a large Renaissance clock tower, and the bronze cross marking the site where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. Another highlight is Rouen's Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral, a favorite subject of artist Claude Monet.
Day 5 – Caudebec-en-Caux (Honfleur)

Travel through Normandy’s bucolic countryside to Honfleur, a charming seaside town painted by generations of artists. Tour the former Smuggler's Harbor of Vieux Bassin—the town's most frequently painted scene—and St. Catherine's Church, built by shipwrights.

Day 8 – Paris (disembark), transfer to Lyon via High speed TGV train (embark)
Disembark the ship in Paris, transfer to Lyon via TGV high speed train, and embark your ship.
Day 9 – Macon (Beaune)
FEATURED EXCURSION: Beaune, Hospices de Beaune, and open-air food market visit
Learn about Burgundy’s celebrated wines on an excursion to the Hospices de Beaune, where monks have been making and selling wine to support their charitable work since the 15th century. Day 10 – Lyon

Day 11 – Tournon/Train l'Hermitage

You'll have an opportunity to experience this famous wine district in one of two ways today. Explore Tournon and its historic castle, then cross over the suspension bridge to Tain l’Hermitage to taste Côtes du Rhône wines. Or, you can choose a guided hike through the verdant Hermitage vineyards, followed by a tasting of distinctive local wines.
Day 12 – Viviers, Avignon

Founded in the fifth century, Viviers retains much of its medieval character and charm. See the sights on foot, then climb Rue du Château to take in the view from the 12th-century St. Vincent Cathedral. Afterwards, enter the cathedral to hear a recital of music by Puccini, Bach and Handel.
Day 13 – Avignon
