Founded more than 20 years ago, Scenic Tours originally focused on travel to Australia and later expanded its offerings to include deluxe European river cruises. The company's vessels, or "Space Ships" as Scenic calls them, are longer than standard European riverboats and offer extra personal space and freedom. Most cabins feature a private balcony and butler service.

You can choose from a selection of included activities to personalize your Scenic vacation. Visit the Van Gogh Museum, explore the canals in Amsterdam, or ascend the Eiffel Tower, for example. Experienced guides share cultural and historical knowledge about each destination and point out the must-see attractions.

Scenic also offers cruises on the Nile and Amazon Rivers that are packaged with a land tour. For all Scenic vacations, your accommodations both on the ship and in hotels, along with most meals and guided sightseeing, are included in the upfront price.

Scenic Tours offers river cruises in Europe, Egypt and Peru.
River cruises are rated according to the quality of the vessel and its accommodations, the number of included amenities and activities both on and off the ship, the class of hotels used for land portions of itineraries, and the level of service delivered. Scenic river cruises are categorized as deluxe on the industry rating scale (budget, first class and deluxe).

Budget = River cruises typically range from $100 to $200 per person, per day, plus airfare.
First Class = River cruises typically range from $150 to $350 per person, per day, plus airfare.
Deluxe = River cruises typically range from $250 to $650 per person, per day, plus airfare.
