You’ll be met at Paris airport and transferred to our luxurious hotel.
Day 2 Paris > Chalon-sur-Saône
Depart Paris and transfer to Chalon-sur-Saône where you’ll be welcomed warmly aboard your luxurious Scenic Space-Ship. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3 Mâcon > Lyon
Travel to Beaujolais’ ‘Golden Stone’ region for wine tasting, or visit Cluny, built around the great Benedictine Abbey.
Perhaps join a cooking class in Scenic Culinaire whilst cruising leisurely to Lyon this afternoon. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4 Lyon
Awake today in Lyon, the gastronomic heart of France.
Discover Lyon’s hidden traboules, secret passageways that date back to the 4th century, and visit the Notre Dame Basilica, which offers fabulous views across Lyon, or walk the cobblestone paths of yesteryear in the medieval hilltop town of Pérouges. Alternatively, join a guided cycling tour to Lyon’s charming Botanical Gardens and Zoo. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 Vienne > Tournon
Enjoy a city tour this morning in Vienne, an old Roman city in a lovely setting. Soak up a leisurely afternoon of cruising to picturesque Tournon. If you like, join a cooking class in Scenic Culinaire enroute.
Enjoy a delightful afternoon aperitif on the terrace of the Castle of Tournon whilst local guitarists perform an acoustic set for your exclusive benefit. It’s the perfect soundtrack to an awe-inspiring backdrop. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Viviers > Avignon
This morning take advantage of an included walking tour of Viviers. This delightful town, nestled between hill and river, boasts ancient homes and an unusual cathedral. Scenic Culinaire will be hosting a lesson in French cuisine for those wishing to improve their skills whilst cruising this afternoon. Or perhaps, simply soak in the panoramic vistas from the Sun Deck as you cruise into Avignon. Tonight, enjoy a fabulous French chanson vocalist perform for your enjoyment on board. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Avignon
Shop with a Chef at a local market and cook up a storm in Scenic Culinaire afterwards. Alternatively, savour an in-depth tour of Avignon’s architectural jewel, the Pope’s Palace, or take an excursion to Uzès and visit Pont du Gard, a magnificent ancient Roman aqueduct.
This afternoon enjoy time at leisure in Avignon.
Be treated to a truly unforgettable experience at the prestigious Pope’s Palace in Avignon. After the doors close to the general public, virtuoso musicians will showcase their skill by performing Mozart, Bach and Vivaldi within this elegant 14th century palace. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Tarascon
Relax on board as we cruise onto the Provençal town of Tarascon.
Visit Les Baux, and drop into a local olive farm, or visit Saint-Paul de Mausole Monastery in Saint-Rémy. Alternatively, view the Arles Arena in this thriving former Roman city. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Tarascon
All good things end eventually so after enjoying a great breakfast, disembark your Scenic Space-Ship and transfer to Nice or Marseille Airport. (Please book flights to depart after 1pm). (Breakfast)
