Day 2 Paris
View all the major sights of Paris – the Arc de Triomphe, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the famous Champs Elysées. Alternatively, lose yourself in the world’s largest museum, the Louvre, or take a walking tour with a Parisian and discover another side of this beautiful city. (Breakfast)
Day 3 Paris
Enjoy a free day to explore. Your Tour Director is on hand to help you plan.
Tonight dine at the world-famous Lido while enjoying a cabaret show, or at the 58 Tour Eiffel in the Eiffel Tower itself, before taking a short sightseeing cruise on the Seine River. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 Paris > Chalon-sur-Saône
Transfer from Paris to Dijon on the TGV, then via coach onto Chalon-sur-Saône. There, you’ll board the Scenic Sapphire for a journey through France’s beautiful south. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5 Chalon-sur-Saône > Tournus
This morning explore Beaune, including a visit to Les Hospices de Beaune. Alternatively, visit the estate of Château de Savigny-les-Beaune to see the impressive collection of motorcycles, race cars and fighter planes. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Tournus
Experience the magnificent Château de Cormatin, or savour French truffles in nearby villages.
Upon your return to Tournus you’ll enjoy a relaxing cruise to Mâcon. Alternatively, join a guided cycle to Mâcon and meet the ship there, or join a class in Scenic Culinaire on board whilst cruising. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Mâcon
Visit the fabulous Bresse Museum, or taste wine in the Mâconnais-Beaujolais region. Alternatively, visit Cluny, the village surrounding the great Benedictine Abbey. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Lyon
Enjoy a tour of Lyon, or an excursion to the medieval hilltop town of Pérouges. Alternatively, visit the exclusive Paul Bocuse culinary school.
Lyon has a Botanical Gardens and Zoo within cycling distance if you’re up for the challenge on your free afternoon.
Experience the French extravaganza that is the can-can amidst other performances when you are treated to the exclusive gala spectacular, Scenic Rouge, under the big-top onshore this evening in Lyon. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Tournon
Cruising from Lyon you’ll have the opportunity to join a master class in French cuisine in Scenic Culinaire, or simply relax on board and soak in the expansive panoramas of this picturesque region as you glide into Tournon. On arrival, meet a spirited local for a fun and informative lecture on the French paradox and etiquette.
Overlooking the Rhône, Tournon Castle is a must-see for visitors. Enjoy an afternoon aperitif on the terrace of the castle accompanied by local musicians. You’ll find it a great soundtrack to a truly awe-inspiring backdrop. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Tournon > Viviers
Visit the spectacular wine cave within Tournon Castle for a tasting, or enjoy a walking tour of Tain l’Hermitage, which includes a tasting at Valrhona Chocolates. You could also take a guided cycle to delightful neighbouring villages, or hike the famed Saint-Joseph vineyard for a tasting of the delicious varietals amidst the vines.

Day 11 Viviers > Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Enjoy a walking tour of Viviers, including an organ recital at Viviers Cathedral.
Tour the Ardèche National Park and immerse yourself in the Caverne du Pont-d’Arc Museum, or visit the aromatic Lavender Museum. Alternatively, choose to canoe through one of Europe’s largest natural canyons, or tour Grignan in Provence. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 12 Châteauneuf-du-Pape > Avignon
Enhance your culinary prowess with a lesson in Scenic Culinaire, or sample the celebrated wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape at a charming Côtes du Rhône vineyard.
Afternoon cruising to Avignon where you’ll tour the iconic Pope’s Palace. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 13 Avignon
Shop with a Chef at a local market and cook up a storm in Scenic Culinaire. Alternatively, tour Gordes and l’Isle-sur-la-Sourge, or take an excursion to Uzès and Pont du Gard.
Enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Avignon.
Be treated to a truly unforgettable experience at the prestigious Pope’s Palace of Avignon, among the most visited sites in France. Day 14 La Camargue
Fine tune your cooking skills in Scenic Culinaire, or take in the wild beauty of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and visit the Parc Ornithologique. You could also visit the fortified Mediterranean village of Aigues-Mortes.
Enjoy leisurely cruising this afternoon. And tonight on board, enjoy a live music performance by a Camargue gypsy band. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 15 Tarascon
Tour the artistic heritage of Arles, and explore the Arles Arena, or visit the hilltop village of Les Baux before tasting the local products at a charming family-run olive farm. Alternatively, visit Saint-Rémy including Saint-Paul de Mausole Monastery. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 16 Tarascon > Barcelona
After breakfast, travel to Spain’s beautiful city of Barcelona. On arrival, enjoy an included orientation tour. (Breakfast)
Day 17 Barcelona
Enjoy a city tour that includes Gaudi’s memorable Cathedral of the Sagrada Familia and beautiful Parc Güell.
Visit Gaudi’s Casa Batlló, with its iconic façade and fantastical interior design. Alternatively, visit the Barcelona Football Stadium and Museum, or discover Poble Espanyol de Montjuic, which boasts the Magic Fountain of Montjuic. (Breakfast)
Day 18 Barcelona
Enjoy a free day by the sea in Barcelona. Perhaps wander the seaside promenade or explore the city’s historic centre at leisure. Tonight the sparkling city of Barcelona will serve up a special dining experience to tantalise your taste-buds. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 19 Barcelona
All good things end eventually so after enjoying a great breakfast, transfer to Barcelona Airport for your onward or homebound flight. (Breakfast)
