Day 1 Welcome to Prague

Day 2 Prague
This morning join your knowledgeable local guide on a fascinating walk through the city and view the famous Astronomical Clock. Afterwards you might wish to venture across the world-famous Charles Bridge. This incredibly beautiful structure was commissioned in 1357 by Charles IV after the Judith Bridge was destroyed by floods. (Breakfast)
Day 3 Prague
Stroll this magnificent city at your leisure. Situated on the banks of the River Vltava in central Bohemia, the beautiful city of Prague is rich in history and home to some of the world’s most striking architectural wonders. There’s no need to plan ahead – your Tour Director is on hand to take care of everything. (Breakfast)
Day 4 Prague > Nuremberg
Today you’ll journey by coach to fascinating Nuremberg in Bavaria, which dates back to the 11th century. Your cruise begins here, and you’ll get to toast the occasion at this evening’s welcome reception. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5 Nuremberg
Start your day with a leisurely guided ride, follow the river Pegnitz to Nuremberg’s fascinating old quarter. Discover the charms of this historic Bavarian city before continuing your guided cycle along the river back to your Scenic Space – Ship. Alternatively, you might wish to select from one of our Freechoice inclusions.
Choose to visit moving WWII sites or try something a little lighter – the Tastes of Nuremberg, a tour of culinary delights that will help you discover a passion for local bratwurst, beer and gingerbread. We won’t tell anyone if you loosen your belt a little. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Regensburg
At the confluence of three rivers, Regensburg offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from its medieval old town to the Bavarian Forest on its border. Join your dedicated cycling guide and discover part of the Five Rivers route. The route is famous as it encompasses five rivers: the Danube, Altmühl, Naab, Vils and Pegnitz, and today you’ll have an opportunity to discover three of these magnificent rivers. Alternatively, you could take a leisurely cycle on your own to the Walhalla monument with your Tailormade GPS device. The route to Walhalla is also along the Danube cycling route, and it’s approximately 10 kilometres away from Regensburg. Or you might wish to select one of the Freechoice activities.
Join the group for an enjoyable walk around Regensburg or hop on a local ferry and sail the Danube Gorge to view historic Weltenburg Abbey, where you can sample beer from one of the oldest monastic breweries in the world. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Passau > Linz
Today will be a day to remember, this morning leave your ship behind and set on a full day ride along the Danube path, the most famous cycling route in Europe. As you ride along the river you’ll be discovering quaint villages, and admiring the mighty Alps that provide magnificent scenery. Alternatively, you might wish to partake in one of our delightful Freechoice activities.
Take an excursion to the medieval Czech town of Cesky Krumlov and discover its World Heritage-listed old city, or journey to Salzburg and explore the birthplace of Mozart, and the city backdrop for ‘The Sound of Music’. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Melk > Dürnstein
This morning join your dedicated cycling guide on a 32 kilometres ride from Melk to Dürnstein. The route will take you through villages encompassed with vineyards and farmlands, where traditional Austrian houses are prominent. It’s a great opportunity to discover the local lifestyle and culture, while exploring some of the most picturesque parts of the Danube.
As the day ends, you’ll get to take in a fine view at the breathtakingly beautiful Wachau Valley. You’ll be in very fine company, and can expect a wonderful ending to a magnificent day. Of course, we don’t take all the credit for this one. It’s nature who’ll provide the view. We’re just bringing the drinks. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Vienna
Join your dedicated cycling guide and discover the beauty of this imperial city on your guided cycling tour through the city.
Alternatively, take one of our included Freechoice options.
Take a guided tour of Bratislava or Schönbrunn Palace, and witness the sheer opulence of the Habsburg Empire. Alternatively, visit the world-renowned Spanish Riding School and either tour the stables or see the famous Lipizzaner Stallions perfecting their skills during their morning exercise program. Or why not taste your way around the local market on our Shop with a Chef tour with your on board chef.
Breathe in the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then be enthralled by an enchanting private Viennese evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. Even in elegant Vienna, Palais Liechtenstein is one of the grandest of all venues. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Budapest
We find ourselves in Budapest, one of Europe’s oldest and prettiest cities. Make the most of your last day of guided cycling, and ride from your ship through the city. Or you might wish to select one of the included Freechoice options.
Make the most of a guided tour of this city including a piano concert, or relax and unwind at the Thermal Baths and Spa. Or you can choose to experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock, a relic of WWII and the 1956 uprising. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 11 Budapest
Depart after a wonderful farewell breakfast. Budapest is the end of your cruise, but it will be the start of a lifetime of wonderful memories. (Breakfast)
