DAY 1: TULCEA (Romania)
Boarding in Tulcea. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the crew. Dinner and folk evening on board. Overnight.
DAY 2: TULCEA - Danube Delta (Romania)
Full board on board. Excursion on the Danube delta, a very important nature reserve and established as a Biosphere Reserve in 1998 by UNESCO. Return on board and cruise to Oltenita. Sailing through Romania and passing close to the towns of Galati, Braila, Harsova and Cernavoda. Night spend sailing.
DAY 3: OLTENITA (Romania) - GIURGIU (Romania) - RUSE (Bulgaria)
Full board on board. Arrival in Oltenita. Excursion to Bucharest, the Romanian capital. The town offers a striking combination of architectural styles: orthodox churches, Empire-style manor houses, Stalinist architecture from the Communist period, and the Parliament - a huge building with six thousand rooms. Return on board in Giurgiu. Cruise to Ruse, one of the largest ports in Bulgaria. Return on board, folk evening. Overnight.
DAY 4: RUSE (Bulgaria)
Full board on board. Tour of Ruse. Its wide avenues, large squares and majestic buildings bear witness to the Bulgarian National Renaissance. Return on board and cruise to Belgrade. Passing through two countries, Romania on the left bank and Bulgaria on the right bank. Overnight.
DAY 5: PASSING THROUGH THE FAMOUS IRON GATES
Full board on board. Day spend sailing on the Danube River, cruising through Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. In the afternoon, passing through the famous Iron Gates, formed by the gorges surrounding the Danube between the Little Carpathians and the Balkans. An equally striking but somewhat lighter landmark on the Serbian side of the river is the “Tabula Traiana” - an enormous Roman memorial plaque made of marble, erected to commemorate the completion of Trajan's military road, or “imperial route” that linked the province of Dacia to Rome. The rocky slopes come closer together, then suddenly, the mountain pass opens up, giving the impression of a lake between the mountains, at the spot where the Mracona Valley opens into the Danube.
DAY 6: BELGRADE (Serbia) - NOVI SAD (Serbia)
Full board on board. Passing through customs in V. Gradiste. Arrival in Belgrade and tour of the town. The city will surprise you with its rich culture and heritage. Return on board. Tour of Novi Sad, the capital of Vojvodina. It was once called “the Athens of Serbia” for its cultural influence during the Turkish occupation. Return on board and cruise to Mohacs.
DAY 7: BEZDAN - MOHACS - KALOCSA
Full board on board. Passing through customs in Bezdan. Cruise along Croatia and Serbia, where the Danube River is natural border between two countries, before arrival in Mohacs. In the afternoon, optional excursion to the Puszta. Return on board in Kalocsa. Cruise to Budapest. Hungarian-themed evening. Night spend sailing.
DAY 8: BUDAPEST (Hungary)
Full board on board. Optional guided tour of Budapest. The Hungarian capital, which lies along the banks of the Danube and is also known as the “pearl of the Danube”. Return on board. In the afternoon, free time in Budapest. Return on board and cruise to Bratislava. Night spend sailing.
DAY 9: BRATISLAVA (Slovakia)
Full board on board. Arrival in Bratislava and guided tour of the city. The charm of the Slovakian capital lies in its old city, with splendid baroque palaces, churches and pleasant squares. Return on board. Cruise to Vienna.
DAY 10: VIENNA (Austria)
Full board on board. Guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace and Vienna. This palace, beautifully set off by the perspectives of its park, was the summer residence of the imperial family. Return on board. Free afternoon in Vienna. Free evening or possibility to attend a concert in Vienna, depending on availability. Departure of the boat to Melk during the night.
DAY 11: MELK (Austria)
Full board on board. Arrival in Melk and visit to Melk Abbey, one of the most complete examples of baroque art in Austria. Return on board and cruise to Linz. Gala evening on board. Night spend sailing.
DAY 12: LINZ (Austria)
Buffet breakfast on board, arrival in Linz. Disembark during the morning. End of our services.
